Absolutely Stunning, Beautiful, Amazing, Wonderful Hideaway! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't think there are any other reviews less than 5 stars for this property...and there's a reason for that. The owners of this villa have taken great care that every detail is perfect here. We felt like we were in a 5 star resort (ahem, ever been to the One and Only Palmilla in Los Cabos?...kinda like that...) but without any other guests except the occasional lizard, goat, or land crab. TOTAL and complete privacy. This is not the place to go if you want any nightlife: star-gazing, reading, and listening to the waves crash below are about it. In fact, we were there for the Full Blood Wolf Moon (lunar eclipse) - which was spectacular to watch from the large patio. The house is SOLID (they had practically no damage from the hurricanes last year), which is good, because the breezes can get really strong out there, even while things are calm and hot down in Coral Bay. Keep in mind that this is about as far away from anything as you can possibly get on St John - the winding drive to sleepy Coral Bay is 20 minutes, and about 40-45 minutes to Cruz Bay (where the ferry comes in from St Thomas). Plan your food shopping accordingly, because once you get here, you won't want to leave. Excellent snorkeling at the private Long Bay beach - we saw turtles, an octopus, and too many different kinds of fish to count. Just a really relaxing, detach from every-day stress kind of vacation.
